I've been slowly but surely adding some decor items to my garden areas to lend them more personality and charm. I found a few things at the Parking Lot Sale at Ken's Gardens this weekend:
Sure, I know it's lavender. I don't need a sign to tell me it's lavender. But the sign looks pretty and adds a nice touch.

This old-fashioned poem placard depicts the "Mary, Mary quite contrary, how does your garden grow?" nursery rhyme. It's hanging in my mudroom, otherwise known as the Indoor Garden Room.

I really didn't get this kit for the tools inside. (The green-handled clippers are sturdy enough, but the wooden-handled tools are very lightweight and surely for decoration only.) But I had been on the lookout for an attractive mister that I could leave sitting out and this one fits the bill. I also like the canvas caddy for toting my tools when I head outside. I've been carrying my things by hand and, as I work and move my kneeling cushion down the line, I have to keep moving my little pile of things with me. This tote is a nice size -- large enough to fit all the things I need, but small enough to carry and store easily. I used it yesterday for the first time and love it! Very handy. This is a little goofy, but I think of it as my garden purse.

...and I didn't really buy this pansy garden kit for the seeds or the planting medium included. I just wanted a watering can to use indoors and add to my "collection." (Hey, now that I have three, maybe I can call it a collection.) I've seen similar watering cans that are much more expensive, but this one was just $2.50 on sale including the pansy kit. Go figure.

On my way home from the Parking Lot Sale, I stopped at a country store. This old basket was $1 and I snatched it up. It'll look great outdoors or in the house, with a plant (or something else) inside.

And, last but not least, a tiny egg cup to add to my vase collection. As I stated boldly in a previous post on flower arranging, a gardener simply can't have too many vases!
