An outing on Saturday took me to two of my favorite shops: The Cinnamon Stick in Hereford (PA) and Aunt Daisy's in Emmaus (PA).
The Cinnamon Stick has an herb garden and a number of planters. My favorite was the coleus group in a rustic trough out front. I particularly like the lacy variety in the center. This idea goes on the "future plans" list, and I like the way it looks in a long container rather than a round one.
Aunt Daisy's has a stunning summer garden in the back yard.
The garden has a border around the perimeter and three beds in the middle.
There are large drifts with everything in bloom -- obviously the result of great planning and design.
The garden features three birdhouses:
...and a charming rustic entry/exit:
I spent as much time outside enjoying the garden as I did shopping inside the store!
Thanks for the garden tour! Love the birdhouses and rustic touches.

I too love the coleus... Aunt Daisy's looks like I would love to visit there.

The two stores are only about a 5-minute drive apart, but I just learned about Aunt Daisy's last year. So that's a new addition to this outing. There are also two nice nurseries and a great home decor shop along the route. (I don't do all the stops every time I go.) This was my first summertime visit to Aunt Daisy's and the garden was a delightful addition to the experience!
