My students gave me some beautiful additions to my indoor garden at our annual piano recital last Sunday:
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING ORCHID

AFRICAN VIOLET IN HANDCRAFTED POT

GERBERA DAISY IN CONTEMPORARY PLANTER

I've never been great with African violets -- usually the initial blooms dry up and no more flowers ever appear. And I've attempted one orchid in the past which died in about a week. I'd really like to keep this one flourishing, so I've searched out some instructions on orchid care at BeautifulOrchids.com and OrchidCare.com. If you have any helpful tips, please leave a comment!

Beautiful orchids! I have never had one. African Violets do well in a north or east facing window, at least for me.

I love the pottery, really brings out the flowers. I have never tried to cultivate an orchid before in an indoor garden, the one in this photo is beautiful.

That's a very nice photo of the orchid - worth framing. Personally I haven't tried to cultivate one either - something else to do next year.
I agree with Indoor gardening Enthusiast, a beautiful photograph.

For Orchids make sure you have a good growing media especially for orchids. I use orchid focus grow and bloom for nutrient. For light, I use a small 2' fluorescent with both red spectrum and blue spectrum bulbs. The red spectrum bulbs help with the flowering.
